Registered Staff Nurse

Mount Tabor is a 46 bed Nursing Home, registered by HIQA, catering for elderly people. We are currently seeking to fill a full-time actively Registered Staff Nurse position.
Qualifications and Experience
(a) A nursing qualification which is recognised and approved by An Bord Altranas.
(b) Current Registration with An Bord Altranais.
(c) A valid work permit, if required.
(d) A minimum of one year’s experience of nursing older persons in a hospital or nursing home environment is highly desirable.
Main Tasks
(a) To promote through high standards of professional nursing practice a caring environment, conducive to the physical and emotional needs of residents.
(b) To ensure that each person resident in, or attending, our Care Centre receives person centred care appropriate to his/her individual needs.
(c) To maintain a safe, hygienic and comfortable environment where respect for the privacy and dignity of residents and attenders at our Care Centre is assured at all times.
(d) Full knowledge and understanding of Care Plans.
(e) Communicate with relatives/family members as required.
(f) Participate in in-service training and education.
(g) Keep up-to-date with the current research.
(h) To guide and assist all members of the team in order to help them do their jobs in the best way.
